Introducing the Fusion Futures Board

Shaping better spaces. Together.

At Fusion, we believe student spaces should reflect the people who live in them – and that means listening, learning, and taking action.

Over the past year, we’ve been quietly laying the groundwork for something meaningful: a student-led initiative that puts diversity, lived experience and honest feedback at the heart of how we build, design and operate.

Now, we’re opening it up.

Who is on the Fusion Futures Board?

The Fusion Futures Board is a growing group of students from across the UK who help us improve life at Fusion, from how our buildings are designed to how our communities are shaped.

We host quarterly in-person sessions, where invited students from a diverse range of backgrounds come together to share ideas, challenge assumptions, and co-create more effective living experiences. Travel expenses are covered and your food is sorted, because your input is valuable.

These sessions centre on real topics, like:

  • Neurodiversity in shared living
  • Accessibility in design
  • Inclusive mental health support
  • Space that reflects cultural identities
  • Creating safe, welcoming social environments

Who can join?

We’re calling on any and every student with something to say, especially voices from groups that are often underrepresented or underserved, including:

  • Black students
  • LGBTQ+ students
  • Chinese and international students
  • Students with neurodiverse conditions
  • Students with physical or sensory requirements
  • Anyone with ideas to help us do better

You don’t need to live in a Fusion building. You just need to be a student (you’ll be asked for a student number) and be open to having a real, constructive conversation.

What group would you want to represent?

If this sounds like something for you, or someone you know, we’d love you to register your interest below.

In the meantime, we’ll keep you in the loop with quick surveys and regular updates about how your feedback is helping shape what we do.
